So, on Thursday, this is how I spent my day ... almost entirely. Needless to say, it was a LONG day! The Monroe Theatre Guild will be having a fundraiser for the youth programming committee during Cheese Days weekend. Kids can sit down and design, make, and take their very own sock puppet home with them for a small fee. Who really wants a boring old white sock puppet? ... I wouldn't. So, guess who died all of these? ... this girl! Ooftah. Any guesses of how many socks are here? I've never had my entire clothesline filled before. This was a first!
If you'll be around Cheese Days weekend (Sept. 14th, 15th, & 16th), please stop in the beautiful Monroe Theatre Guild building. I along with some other local artists will be set up inside, demonstrating our art & selling some of it. Your kids can make an awesome sock puppet to entertain themselves with, and ... you can even take advantage of the air conditioning and the lovely non-stinky bathrooms ... because well, no one really wants to use the port-a-potties on the square, now do they?
Hope to see you at the MTG building on Friday and Saturday! and p.s. the number of socks = 300!
